As you can see, there are many diffrent fields of work in Medicine and many diffrent opportunitys which is what makes it such a great division to look into!
All of these people, however, make up the collective that is the Echo Fleet Medical Division, we are all one big team. We all work together on cases and be the best we can all be as a collective.
I will quickly go over the processes for the two most common occurences in the Medical Division to finish up on this class, Crew Checkups and Incoming Medical Emergencys to sickbay.
Crew Checkups:- Orientation Checkup Reqired at the Academy before Graduation.
- Members are expected to report to a check up every (90) Days, or after a extended away mission/combat.
- Enlisted/Commissioned members need to send a Crew Checkup request to the Medical Checkup Coordinator, you will then have a doctor assigned to you. That doctor will send you a questionaire and a small RP sequest via PM, fill out your questionaire and proceed to do your checkup.
- Your doctor will evaluate you and send your results to both Personnell, your Department Head and they will be stored in the files at Starfleet Medical.
- At the end you schedule your next checkup, generally in about 90 days.
Medical Emergencys (Incoming):- A Code Blue (Medical Emergency) will be announced over intercom.
- A duty doctor has to immediatly report to sickbay, or one already in sickbay has to work with the nursing staff to prepare for the incoming patient.
- When the patient is brought into sickbay by Emergency Medical staff they will be the top priority and brought to the Emergency section with the immediate attention of a Duty Doctor.
- All other sickbay staff will be on hand for the impending case.
- Echo Fleet Security will be on hand to assist with any emergency calls.
Please review both scenerios as they happen often.
That concludes CMS101: Introduction to Echo Fleet Medical, thank you for your attencion. If this has interested you I would highly reccomend looking into Medical as we will always need more doctors, nurses and researchers.
The Exam is posted below, please complete it and post it as a reply on this forum, good luck. Thank you for attending.
*shuts off the presentation as tests are handed out.
